Mornington Peninsula International Pinot Noir Celebration

When: 08 Feb 2013 > 09 Feb 2013

The sixth Mornington Peninsula International Pinot Noir Celebration was held 8 and 9 February 2013 at RACV Cape Schanck Resort. The Pinot Showcase was also held at RACV Cape Schanck on the following day Sunday 10 February 2013.

Day 2 included Ted Lemon from Littorai, presenting his wines and thought provoking words...words from his presentation.

The 2013 Guests included Jasper Morris MW as keynote speaker, Domaine Grivot, Josh Jensen, Ted Lemon, Marquis Sauvage and many more producers with wines to highlight the variety.

The two days of Celebration included structured tastings with each session lead by a panel of Pinot producers, writers and thinkers. Tickets ($990) included all tastings, lunches, and dinners at local winery restaurants and including the Farewell Dinner at a very special mystery location - which was Point Nepean Quarantine Station.

The optional extra Showcase tickets ($120) included a more informal tasting opportunity involving 37 Mornington Peninsula wineries with four Celebration producer guests (Curly Flat, Lethbridge, Purple Hen and Stoney Rise), a Burgundy masterclass with and Jasper Morris MW and Kate McIntyre MW and followed by an informal lunch.

Accommodation was available at RACV Cape Schanck.

The Mornington Peninsula Celebration is held in the region every two years - the next in February 2015!
