Matt Harrop (Chairman) Matt Harrop graduated from Roseworthy College, Australia’s first Agriculture school, in 1991 and has been recently appointed the winemaker at Curly Flat. He lives on a property near Lancefield in the Macedon ranges with his family, a small Chardonnay vineyard, and a very friendly flock of sheep. Matt has judged at many wine shows across Australia.
Celebrating 20 vintages both here and abroad in 2017, Marcus is passionate about making wines that speak of South Gippsland and the dirt in which they’re grown. A brief and memorable meeting with Pinot Noir in the Yarra Valley back in ’97 has now turned in to a full-blown obsession with the grape and handcrafting wines with soul as part of the Dirty Three winemaking project.
A vital member of the well-oiled wine team on Spring Street at City Wine Shop, Gabrielle has travelled extensively to further her knowledge and understanding of the vagaries of wine. Conquering New Zealand, Italian and Spanish vintages, and also the difficult questions of her customers has seen her fast become one of the best Sommeliers in the country.
